Faceless is an exploration intended to raise awareness of Feminicide. In Mexico 7 women are murdered every day on gender related crimes. About 30 per cent of these murders include torture and mutilation, but only 1.6 per cent of the crimes are prosecuted. Victim blaming and social acceptance of gender crimes have been some of the main obstacles for resolving this growing issue. Throughout the country violence against women, ranging from sexual harassment to domestic conflict has been widely tolerated. There is still a long path ahead for resolving gender violence and spreading awareness of this subject is imperative.
