Remedios, Lorena, Rosa, and Lety are four strong women dedicated to the domestic service in Mexico, which represents approximately 2.1 million people. Like many others they also migrated to the city from rural surroundings and started working at a very early age (sometimes as early as 13). They either work part time, making the trip back to their homes everyday, or live within their employer's’ residence and go back to their families on the weekends. Tu casa es mi casa is an ongoing portrait project, that began in 2016, aiming at documenting women’s stories and experiences in the domestic service.
